Agency owner here trying to scale one of my models....banned at 10k.

- We created a second account for the model, only posting content that HADN'T been seen before...meaning no tikfuzion for prior videos, just straight original content.

- The account was on a separate brand new iphone, only ever data on it. No location sharing, all the privacy settings off, properly warmed up...etc.

- Once we hit 10k followers and some videos were getting 500k+ views we got banned. It was for inauthentic behavior I believe.

- This is the 4th time we have been banned for a similar thing for this model. Her main account remains fine but IG is super strict on her having anything more than 1 account.

She is meta verified, but I don't understand what we are doing wrong. I see tons of other OF models with multiple accounts, how do they get away with this?

Instagram not only cross checks the metadata but also the facial outlook of people in videos. if one person has two accounts, even though the videos are different, once the 10k cieling is hit you may be hit with a bottleneck because your model is one person pretending to be someone else online.

Best appraoch would be to alter the video somehow so it doesnt match the characteristics of the other account. change voice pitch, lighting, color grade, etc.

the phone was never the link. did all 4 accounts funnel to the same OF page or landing domain? ig follows bio links thru every redirect to the final destination, if that matches the banned accounts the new one inherits the flag no matter how clean the device is

Eventually yes but I made it so each had their own custom domain/landing pages, each system looked different.

Yeah, I think youre right. The content posted was different on each so I do think its a facial recognition thing!

What you're saying makes sense. Actually I had once faced a similar situation, 1 of my viral posts reposting account posted some controversial post, in the starting it was fine, but later it got massively viral, but after some point, when it reached 6+ million views, it got removed (because some people who did not like it, reported it), so if a lot views are coming, then the % of people reporting the post also increases, specially if some account is posting borderline half naked posts, or something. Some people are just having a bad day, and would report the post even they they thing theres some 1% issue with the post. So, this could be one of the reasons.

Instagram can be unpredictable with account signals so checking Account Status and recent activity might reveal something overlooked

Could be that IG already connects the new accounts to her somehow. After 4 bans I wouldn’t keep making new ones without figuring out what’s triggering it first.

Seems like they are identifying the other accounts to your main account, Right now dont make any other accounts and wait. Also one more factor could be that users are mass reporting the account when it grows, gets reach and views and even that could lead to a ban.

Also what type of content are you posting? If you could give an idea about it?

If the main account is healthy, I'd prioritize protecting it rather than repeatedly creating replacement accounts after enforcement. Repeatedly recreating accounts after removals can make the underlying problem harder to diagnose.

It’s hard to say exactly what the issue is here - is this a ban for “Account Integrity” and “creating new account” type violations? These bans usually happen because you have too many devices linked to a single device ID - but we can exclude that in your case.

In 2026, there are also many waves of random bans for this reason - Meta’s AI algorithms are simply wrongly suspending accounts.

Another possibility I’m considering is that someone is intentionally banning your accounts, for example a competitor. In the OnlyFans industry (if that’s the model you were referring to in your post), this is unfortunately a common practice.

You mentioned that you already have Meta Verified - this makes your account more stable, but it can still be banned, whether by someone who knows their stuff or by algorithms. It’s possible that getting Legacy verification on this account could help, but no one can guarantee that.

It’s also common to have your account “shielded” through connections at Meta, this means the account is simply added to a list of “protected” accounts in the internal dashboard and becomes resistant to bans. However, the warranty for this service is time-limited, usually 60 or 90 days, so you’d have to calculate for yourself whether it would be worth it at all.

to have been banned four time despite having reached comparable follower number means to me that it is not just the gadget or the content produced by me that matters. before creating another account, I would look at my account status nd its signals.

after four account bans, though, I would stop concentrating on the smartphone nd start focusing on what is similar about both acounts. take a look at the account status, the linked devices nd reports prior to creating another account.

The separate phone/IP probably isn’t helping if Instagram already associates the model and the operation with previously banned accounts. Multiple accounts themselves are allowed, so I’d focus less on trying to isolate each account and more on figuring out what behavior is triggering the “inauthentic” enforcement.

Since she’s Meta Verified, I’d use the support access to appeal and specifically ask what triggered the inauthentic-behavior decision before building account #5. Otherwise you might just keep repeating the same trigger.

I've seen frequently a setup with a main account and a backup account, but the backup account was always treated as such - under the radar, just existing in case the main account would get banned.

Then there's some very big names that may have a "fan" type of an alternate account that's popular, but there's clearly labeled that it's not the actual person running the account.

Maybe it is as simple as one person running one account under one identity.

Could be more about the account relationship than the device setup meta may be linking accounts through identity activity or other signals even with separate phones, at this point checking Account Status and the exact policy reason would be the first move
