If there is no email attached then you will not be allowed to remove a phone number. If an email is attached, you can remove the phone number. The phone numbers are from number farms - I do not recall anyone having issues with such numbers - 99% of accounts that are sold are made with this type

Yes, you can. 99% of people who sell accounts with phone numbers use phone farms of other people for registering. I have not heard about anyone being hacked that way over the ~7 years I've been selling.
