Haha, I have worked in one of them (a long time back.. oh, and I wasn't a caller.. so, don't judge me lol); and yeah.. I am from Kolkata too.
Btw, Kolkata police are doing quite a lot these days to stop these scammers. A few of the big fishes already got caught. Keep reporting them guys.

The one I was in was a smaller one. Like 8 callers and a few support staffs. The office was actually pretty decent, I must say.

Damnnn how nieve do you have to be to jump on teamviewer with a random person from overseas and log into your bank account. This is what should be taught in schools in the 21st century -> "Common Sense studies" and "Anti-Online Scams Studies".

You can't protect the people falling for these types of scams from themselves, just too dumb.

It's more likely the guy who did this investigation gets charged for computer crimes than this group, he basically just incriminated himself and wasted his time while being from a country that takes this stuff more seriously.

My 85 year old neighbour got caught by one of these scams and she most certainly isn't dumb. She might not be IT savvy, but she is one of the most intelligent and wise people I know.

Yeah there's a big difference between intelligence and common sense though. In many cases common sense gets you further than IQ.

* ps. it's also disgusting to think of people at the end of their lives having to deal with this bullshit. Cross your fingers karma is a real thing.

Poor?? Really?? I think you do not have any idea about their poverty.
I too started out a job in one of these scam-shits last year and soon realized that what they were doing was insanely inhumane. They first gave me recordings to hear and train myself. I have never heard anything worst than that in my entire life. Old people, people living on social security, disabled people, people with medical conditions (not all of them, but majority) literally crying on the phone that they can not give any money and these scum heads did not even left them with money to buy their groceries.
I learnt many things in that short span there. It was a 20-28 seater call center generating $40-50k daily. Shitty employees there got a hefty amount of salary to work there and to keep there mouth shut. Me, being just high school passed out, was offered $1k salary and approximately $1.5-2.5k incentive depending upon how much I rob people of their money. So obviously, they are NOT POOR. They are fucking filthy rich. It is the demonic GREED, not poverty, that drives them to do this act.
And what is with this common sense shit? If someone does not have any common sense, then do we get a right to rob them of their money? Really? Is this the norms of the world we are living in? I wonder, why we call ourselves human when I do not see any humanity in these people. Even animals do not show these traits.

I will sue you for posting the office where my assistants and support is based. j/k
This is why i don't like to work with people from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

There are really amazing minds in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and i actually have partners around. But, because of scums like the ones on the video, the world becomes less interested in working with people from your area.
Hopefully things change soon.

So you know these guys in pictures? You familiar with the Kolkata area? You could be the good guy in here. I'm heading to the mall to pick up a big ass tape. So scared of my front camera right now. That could have saved them the publicity they got.

Hey! What you are doing is generalising the whole country based on few scum-heads. This is wrong. You can do a background check before working in partnership with anyone to know about them or their past.
These types of people are everywhere, in every country. It is just that all of them do not use a VoIP to scam someone. Each has their own devilish methods. But what these people do, you get to hear it on youtube and then think that people from these countries are scammers. This is not the case with eveyone my friend.
