Hi All,

My hosting company has just been made me aware that my hosting account has been infected and i need it sorted out straight away. i dont have a clue exactly what to do and looking for someone who can resolve the issue.

message hosting company sent is below, i tried asking for help but dont think they no what to do and asked me to find someone who does know.

( we have just noticed that you have malicious files on your hosting account. List of files is located at amanis.co.uk/infected_2016-10-08.txt.

Please take care of this to avoid suspension of your account as those files are involved in sending a lot of spam messages. That affect responsiveness of our server and must be dealt with so other customers won't suffer because of that.. )

can someone please please help and let me know how much you will resolve this issue for.

Thank you
Abz

They should be able to help you get it taken care of. I had it happen awhile back with Hostgator, it took them about a month but it did get fixed..

try to scan all files and find the infected file. Will be harder if some of the files are encrypted and binded in pictures or PDF file.

@Kabone i asked them for help since i dont have a clue what to do and they sent me the below message.

" The best thing you can do here if you don't know what needs to be done is to hire a security specialist to assist you further with cleaning your account.
Unfortunately we do not provide that kind of service. "

Just login to your c panel and delete those files. I have checked few of the links http://amanis.co.uk/infected_2016-10-08.txt => It looks like these are the web stats, somehow got in to your HTML folder and made some pages for themselves, and they contain a link to a spam site: semalt.com
So removing these files will not affect your site hopefully. Still, before removing them make a backup and download it to your PC.
