I'd suggest to focus on authenticity. Make your audience love you. Make your audience believe in whatever you post on your account. Make consistant, original content that promotes your account in a positive way. An account with a 100k highly dedicated followers will always outsell an account with 1m non-interested followers.

That's my two cents.

I am not planning on monetizing those for a while, at least until their engagement is high. I do interact with my followers and such (I am homebound a good 6 days a week for health reasons so time is not a problem) I have adjusted some of the offers in my panel and I am focusing more on US traffic which seems to be helping in the few hours since.

I struggled with this when I initially started off - I had a ton of clicks to my page, but they were all from foreign countries that some of my offers didn't approve - so I missed out on a lot of potential profit.
