I don't use that method any more on the accounts I manage, due to the risk for my clients.
There are other ways to get followers. One viral post can get you thousands of followers without following anyone.
Just to give you an idea, last year I took the top post on Reddit funny, adapted it and reposted and it went viral, got hundreds of followers in minutes, thousands in a matter of hours.

I dont mind to adjust to the new limits but I have the same problem not a big deal and I dont think it is a problem it is a new update they did it is just exhausted to constantly to have to log in and check back and fourth and before to follow 200 people at a time was awesome and enough through big intervals in betweens.
