So I have been playing around with few IG bots. While I was doing this, I noticed that most of the IG celebrities/Big brands use some sort of bots to "engage" and to build up large followers base.

Probably everyone knows this by now, but I was a bit surprised. The social media universe is ruled by robots already

How did you notice that? Could you give us some examples?

Very easy. I followed them and monitored their account activities. I assume most them use some social media agencies or social media ninjas to handle their accounts, who use the automation bots. Therefore a lot of them are too lazy or probably too busy to change the default behaviours of the bots

Such as:

- Certain no of likes in certain intervals
- Certain no of follow/unfollow in certain intervals
- Automated likes throughout the day etc etc

I only realised it after playing with the settings of some bots.

This is why I stay the hell away from top accounts.

The world is so fake, I joined one of those powerlike bot groups.
I was expecting "funnymeme69" pages, oh no.
The accounts had 500k+ followers all who were real people selling their bullshit detox teas and alibaba watches completely gaming the algo to reach crazy engagement

When it comes down to it, everything's about money.

They might have realized that they can also earn in the social media world by using their fame. It just shows that even though the most famous of celebrities still use bots for followers. IG of celebrities and Big Brands are run by a marketer or their PR person. They might be the ones who thought of using the bots. The world is now run by bots and the people's thirst for followers.

Imagine you are a Celebrity and you have to deal with Work, Press and Fans every single day, you don't have that much time to keep improving your social media so you will need a service... now imagine you are a social media agency with 15 clients, is not cost effective to have 1 employee per account so you should assign some accounts to 1 person, and 1 person doesnt have the time to keep the growing and engagement in 5 celebrities accounts in a daily basis so a tool should be used.
Is not exactly gaming the system is just the nature of things. Of course every system has their own glitch / weakness and ppl exploit that, i.E. Engagement groups, Powerlikes, Etc.

This. I've even seen it where there are big brands buying fake followers for their accounts, then the owners of the brands end up being a testimonial for an expensive $2000 Instagram course.
