So, I have been lurking around here for sometime and finally embarked on my first affiliate marketing adventure. I've taken my time to do intensive studying before hopping into it and I feel that I should see some good results. (lets hope!) My questions for those more well-versed: Can you give feedback on my strategy? and, if my strategy is correct.. is it really this simple to make money?

Here's what i've done so far:

1. Found click bank product with good gravity.
2. Used adwords keyword planner and verified it's getting a good amount of search volume (1800 per mo)
3. Searched competition...number 1 page on google for my keyword only has 300 or so backlinks
4. Created a stellar website for said product
5. Created 10 articles on my page with great content. Each article title and content was directly related to the top ten searched terms for this niche and had good keyword placement (not spammy)
6.Now undergoing my SEO campaign...Old fashioned white hat way for now. I will be manually building backlinks and using my 10 created articles for posting on tier one sites and pr sites that will link to money site, then i will be linking all my tier 2 sites to my tier 1 back links and tier 3 backlinks to tier 2 sites and spinning my existing content for lower tired placement....
Im thinking that it seems too easy...Please let me know if im missing any steps. Or have any recommendations to further assure success. Thanks BHW fam!

That looks like a good plan for sure good luck with it =)

It should pop out ,because who have many articles

Thank you Magic5!

Thanks for the reply Rejlis! So is 10 articles considered good? I wasnt sure what was the norm so I just decided on 10

Google likes websites that are updated often. You might want to add few more articles from time to time, just to keep it fresh.

Did you just say you're going to use those same 10 articles published on your site on Tier 1 sites as well?

It looks like a good start but don't be disheartened if you fail.
This is your first site, so it will be a learning experience.

I was...Please enlighten me! Should I spin them or do I need completely fresh content?

You are well prepared and that's a really important factor.

All I can say is good luck, and WHEN you fail in the future, see it as a damn good lesson!

I appreciate the feedback!

All the best in your journey, mate. Affiliate is one of the best ways to any money online. Don't forget the KW research!

one thing that i think helps is to use the obvious social medias to create back links to your site, sharing each page on group pages or your own site's fan page.

the other thing I do, and I'm not sure if this really even works but, I "thumbs up" every page on my site with Stumble Upon and use meta tags to try and target the right readers who will continue to support it on SU. Sometimes, if I target the right keyword, it will thumbs up 1000 times and i get a boost in traffic and i think overall website rankings. People say its useless traffic but I think overtime it has some effect on google's algorithm. However conversion doesnt happen with SU traffic.

I have a site that isn't ranking for any keywords right now on google but I think overtime I can get it to happen with some more people supporting each page on SU. If you are interested in trading SU support hit me up on skype, email is my BHW name at google mail

I have build a striptease pole, but they never came
