Possibly, because then Google will match the old HTTP links. It's going to be best, in the long run, to switch to https.If I remove HTTPS and it will fix that issue?

if you are using 301 redirection based then as per my experience google will auto update and might be ranking will never disturb but in case of backlinks this is dangerous and google may take more than 5 to 6 months to re crawlHow many days update HTTP to HTTPS from google search result
You told, Remove my site from Google webmaster and readd?Take a look at your site name on top left, it still search console property for http version.
If you switch to https (also from non www to www ) you need to add new property on search console and re-verified.
