ideas to get freelance jobs?

hello i'm a compuer programmer, i know c#, c++(a bit), vb.net, i worked for more than 16 making software, now i'm trying to get my feets into game developement (i have started on this, back in 2010). i'm working on a few projects.

i'm just wondering how to get more freelance jobs as a programmer, i tried on fiverr, but can't figure out how to get a single gig, that is why i'm asking here a few tips, just want to get some freelance jobs to get funds for my own game projects.

any help will be very useful.

I have a friend who sounds like you. He's been programming since a teen & into game-dev too. He found offline job in the field of interest. Said online/freelance wasn't for him.
