As long as the topic is already talked about, there's no problem but if it's not, you can contribute with a guest post and as regards specific link, you can expatiate on what you mean by that.

If i were you i would focus on creating an authority post that other blogs would want to link to.Something like Brian Deans skyscraper content .

This will pay off better in the long run.
