I have a website who's domain has expired while the hosting is still running. I bought a new domain name. So I want to point or use the new domain name for the site. Namesilo is where I but my new domain. How can fix this up.

There are plenty of tutorials out there.

You'll need to 301 everything over to the new domain.

Ask your hosting provider to set up your new domain.

You will lose the domain backlinks though. Everything related to seo, actually.

If you still have access to your previous domain, you can 301 everything to your new domain. Otherwise its pretty much going to be a fresh start anyways.

Change the primary domain of the hosting account to the new one (will need to contact support if the server is not yours) and set the new domain's name server entries to point to the same ones as the old domain.

Its better to change your primary domain name as 301 redirections wouldn't work at all because of your previous domain name not active anymore...

Backing up your data is the foundational step when changing your domain to avoid pitfalls on the road ahead. After the foundational step, you can move all of your content to the new domain. You can do this manually or by using various plugins available in the market. Next, you would want to set redirects of all your content for which you will be using permanent redirects .i.e 301. Lastly, you need to tell Google about your migration using Google Webmasters Tool and set up XML sitemap. You can create two sitemaps-one for the old domain and one for the new one. This eventually will de-index your old domain, and index your new domain.

Host it in your shared hosting control panel like cpanel.

You just have to update your hosting provider nameservers against you new domain. Once you will update the nameservers your domain will start pointing to your hosting account and your site will be live again.
