I meditated every day for two years

i've been meditating on and off for some years too. worth the time to do it.
"quiet mind" style. it's just like it sounds. keep your mind devoid of thoughts or only focus on your breath. i do that for 10-30mins followed by "i am affirmations" (youtube it).

Ye
That's lovely bro! Meditation is the essence of life. I am a Buddhist doing internet marketing for several years. I have been a gym freak from the past 5 years and I have been practicing meditation daily for years now. I have also been to vipassana retreats.

There are six popular types of meditation practice:

  • mindfulness meditation
  • spiritual meditation
  • focused meditation
  • movement meditation
  • mantra meditation
  • transcendental meditation

Meditation and other things have helped me with a lot of things! I am always focused on my diet. I have been away from porn for a long time now!
I have been regularly doing meditation and different kinds of yoga & breathwork like Wim hof and other kinds! I found a youtube channel where they good videos for breathwork with audio convert them to mp3 and start doing them daily!

Follow this basic course which is online for everyone it's of 10 days!
You'll learn the basics and understand the concept of meditation!

yes bro and i love mantra meditation. Its just amazing

Meditation helps mind absorb an invisible form of energy which triggers a set of positive habituals. I've felt it & it's really powerful.

I'm 100% with you, meditation has taught me more than anything.

Can you share some of your success with this approach?

Excellent post OP
Someone asked about recommendation on YouTube videos or mp3. If you are very new to it then i would recommend just make a habit of sitting calm/eyes closed without missing a day for 10 minutes. You will start exploring yourself.

OT : I can’t find your sales thread for reviews

Today I have tried 15 minutes of meditation but I was feeling really weird.
I had no problems in the beginning and I focused on my breath trying to keep the toughts away.
Then after some minutes I couldn't do it anymore and some random toughts started to flow in.
After another 5 minutes I started feeling like I was about to fall asleep and then, in the last 5 minutes I had a weird sensation like dizziness and sickness, so I had to open my eyes at the last minute.
Did everything sitting in a comfortable position and without any specific sound.
What am I doing wrong? Tomorrow I will try with some relaxing sound in the background and see if something changes.
Should I always focus on my breathing? Or I can let my toughts flow in? Is there any specific technique?
Thanks

You can do a preparation practise that is called "anuloma viloma"
it helps you to become relaxed on all levels of your being
it is better to start without music because it will disturb you

It was 2017 1st November when i thought that i would start mediating from tomorrow. But i never imagined that i would do it every day for two years. Instead, my goal was to meditate every day without thinking if i will do it tomorrow or not.

So it was 2nd November 2017(early in the morning). I searched for some Hindu meditation sounds and started meditating. That day it was for 15 minutes. And another day early morning, another 15 minutes of meditation. And weeks start passing. Months started passing, but i continued meditating at least for 15 minutes a day. One year passed, but i meditated every day. It did not matter how busy or where i was.

Just like when people get addicted to smoking, they want it every day. Meditation starts becoming the same for me. I needed it every day. And today, it is the 2nd anniversary of my meditation.

And also, in the path of meditation, i stopped watching porn, less masturbation. Less anger, happier, and entirely in control of myself. And the world seems so beautiful than ever.

And today, day means a lot to me as it was a day when i started meditating. So i just wanted to share this with you guys. Have an amazing year ahead and good luck with whatever you are doing.

And just curious if there someone in bhw who loves meditating?
Thank you for sharing this. I know many persons who are regularly meditating from a long time and having good health, very active and also not falling in bad habits. I myself started doing meditation and yoga 2-3 times but couldn't continue it regularly.

OP your post made me install Mindfullness app, I wanna give this a go! I doubt that I'll be able to persist for 2 years, though

Good Luck. It is surely going to help you if you meditate for atlest 15 minutes everyday.

I don't meditate regularly, but I tried all kinds of meditations throughout the years.

Been meditating for 12 years with a few lapses here and there.
I started due to depression and the fact I had no money to really live and eat properly, so I turned to yoga, running, reading, meditation and learning guitar.
The one thing I recommend always to anyone is to meditate and read.

You don't need to follow the cliche 'rules' of mediation, find what works for you - I have tried many variations and the best was when I stopped caring of how to do it and just did it! There are some profound moments one could have while meditating and it really needs to be experienced by all to see the meaning.

Yogic breathing is also recommend for clarity

(you can try meditating on this sound. It a very peaceful sound) but i recommend you to download the songs and then mediate as you dont want the ads to pop up in the middle of meditation.

yeah i forget to say that i too stopped eating meat after some months of doing meditation:)

Good luck with your works. You can try mediating someday when you are free. It's amazing

yeah true
Good job man keep it up.

Also, thanks for sharing this with us I love it <3

Just downloaded it on my phone it really gives me chill.

Well done, bro!
My max was 3 months. But it was a particular time of my life, I was so focused on my goal... So I trained 6 days a week, meditated 2 times a day, ate clean, did my cardio, went out, socialised.. I was at the top of my sh*t, my mind was sharp af, And meditation was fundamental in all this. I let everything die once I reached my goal, and now I'm depressed because thinking about that period I realised that I was happy and fulfilled with my life and that everything was on point, and now it's all MEH because I don't have new goals. It's hard to get out of this situation doe

so true. not everything works for everyone..
i believe the main key points are

  • Motionlessness
  • Breathing
  • Not-Thinking

what r u thinking while meditation? in the movie the shifu always told the student to empty ur mind, and wherever i empty my mind (not thinking anything) there is always a pop up almost every minutes. the adblock is not working, and its hard to close the pop up :3

" The attempt to do this (Non thinking) inevitably reveals the mind to be a raging tempest of activity. Only the greatest determination can win even a few seconds of mental silence, but even this is quite a triumph. "
