A few months ago, I read somewhere that Google had a complex system to detect spun articles/blog comment/bookmarks/content (with its big synonyms database etc).

1. Do you know if it's true ?

2. If it's wrong (what I really really hope), I would love to hear about you guys who have success with article marketing using spinners !

The best would be that people how only used spun atricles for backlinks had very good results or not ?

Thanks !

There has been a huge Big G update, and it has affected many people. I believe this update is more for Quality of your backlinks, and less on quantity. I have always found spun articles to be very powerful backlinks.

Thank you Master-of-Backlinks ;) That sounds good

Anyone else ?

Yes, the backlinks from article sites are very good links, but you don't want to get too crazy with them. In my experience, once you get over 1-2k article sites, the rest don't have as good of page rank unless it is a great evergreen niche.

Even then I wouldn't use that as your sole source of links. Google is getting smarter and it is better if you use a variety of types of links. Social Networking, and profile links are good to give you more variety. The most effective backlinks are .edu and .gov, they carry the most weight.

There are plenty of people on this forum that you can buy them from pretty inexpensively and it will really give you a boost. Hope that helps.

That does help, thanks ;o)

The most effective backlinks are .edu and .gov

but isn't it risky to get backlinks from .edu and .gov ?

I read on the forum that a lot of guys had issues with those kind of backlinks building,
like almost immediat deletion of their account and even sandboxing :(

I have friends that work at Google.

Your best bet is to have fresh content. The worst Google will do to you is not display your site.

Here is a guy that is only using spun articles for his backlinking:

I was doing some keyword research and come to find out that my KW is way more competitive than I was lead to believe in SeScout (22,000 local searches).

Actual data from Google is 135,000 monthly local searches and 201,000 Global searches. Competition is 5,950,000 with "" and 6,170,000 without "".

March 21st I was @ #37 in Google for the KW
March 28th (yesterday) I was at #17 in Google for the KW.

The only thing that I have used for this is Linkpushing.
