What's good, I don't usually post here since I'm more used to read instead of ask directly, I like to understand how things works, so I'm not a troll or something like, I just want to share this with everyone to see if someone is able to finally get rid of that views and likes situation.

Well, let's get into the YouTube thing. Recently started working on my old YouTube channel and started purchasing views from a SMM panel with real good results, I've been scratching some money from the system and I was happy for that, but even more with the quick audience I obtained thanks to these little investments.

First the likes stopped working, and then the views also stopped arriving getting freezed or something like, they arrive (YES, they arrive), but really SLOW. That would be enough as a temporary fix but they even get freezed and blocked if they keep arriving from the same source.

That's kinda weird since the views statistics get updated in the YouTube Studio panel but the count isn't reflected and updated in the YouTube website (and then you're not able to get related and / or appear high in search results).

I'm used to code bots for different purposes and coded my own YouTube API bot to generate views/likes/comments reports in real time and real quick. I did that only to know if some views dropped, if I received a dislike or something like, just statistics but in a way I'm able to understand quickly when I wake up in the morning, here's an screenshot.

As you can see in the picture you're able to compare statistics in real time between two dates, in that case Real Time Data from YouTube API >VS< Data extracted from the YouTube API when the video was added to the application.

In the meantime I added a likes and comments ratio to look as organic and natural as possible, telling my friends to comment or even purchasing more likes or comments if needed just in case I get below 1:25 in Likes ratio or 1:100 in comments ratio. I've discovered that views start counting as always, the views servers are overloaded but they arrive as usual... Until they get freezed.

You may have seen that views are still counting in your YouTube Studio statistics (even in the real time widget) and obviously they're also updated in my application since it uses the API but... For some weird reason the changes aren't reflected in the website, and if the views are freezed then you're not able to keep receiving views and eventually YouTube blocks them, that's why they're taking SO LONG to arrive (if they finally arrive).

By performing tests I've discovered that you (or someone else) have to perform a social action on your own video in order to unfreeze the counter in the YouTube website, by doing that you'll unfreeze the views (by validating them). With that you'll get the views that are showed at API levels reflected in the website. Social actions = comments and likes organically given on your own video via the website.

I also realized that views start getting freezed when you surpass the 1:45 Comment ratio, that means that just 1 comment is left in your video for each 45 views. In the moment that you (or at least me and some more friends) surpass the 1:45 comments ratio (not organic) your views get freezed (and then YouTube blocks them) until another social action is performed on your video.

Maybe the ratio would be bigger depending how many subscribers the channel have and how old the channel is, which is the most logical way of thinking if I were a YouTube developer. With 4.5/5k Subscribers (more or less) you have a free range of 1:45 Comments Ratio until you get your views Freezed and then Blocked.

With that said I'm not sure if that would help anyone to get rid of that shit*y situation, but I've been performing tests and diggin on how YT works and I wanted to share this with you all.

Thanks for sharing your study, views on the front end /website are the legit views and views in backend/realtime are non validated and can be removed anytime. Most of the time views freeze before 300 on website, if the views aren't hq . Most probably views update on website after 1 to 4 hour.

But as you stated, it can be due to lack of engagement. However, I even tried buying engagement with views but even pricey views stucked before 300 on website but the real time showed more than 1k views.

So you're saying we need to perform any social action to keep getting the views counted on website or else it will freeze right?

Yessir, even the fact or leaving a comment on your own video and deleting it like 4/5 minutes later would be enough.

This is an amazing post. Good job dude.

So you're saying sharing a tweet with the video link could unfreeze the views? Or sharing on Facebook or Google+, or commenting on the video etc?

You're spot on in your analysis, first the likes started freezing and dropping, and then the views. This is a big problem actually, and we need Youtube to lay off.

Actually, we need Youtube to die. That would be nice. I would take 5 sites competing for videos with each dominating about 20% of the internet rather than this monopoly of Youtube. Can't wait for congress or some political situation in the US to break up these monopolies (Youtube, Facebook...)

I’m not sure if the fact of sharing the video URL would be enough to unfreeze/unlock the views stats, maybe yes if it’s shared by a real account with real followers that interact with the video itself, but as far as I’ve seen by performing my own tests you’ll get your video views unfreezed only with the following actions:

- Organic like performed via web
- Organic dislike performed via web
- Organic comment left on your video performed via web

Doesn’t work to update the views count
- Hitting the bell / notification button in that video via web if you’re already subscribed
- Organic click on a description link
- Organic like from another account in a comment performed via web (no matter if the comment is pinned)
- Adding the video itself to a playlist you’ve (or someone else) made
- Sharing the video on Google+ (didn’t tried in other social media platforms)

I posted this information to encourage everyone to perform some tests as well so please if you discover something else regarding the subject post it here

*(Updating which actions work and which ones don’t)

Thanks OP for your observations.Google knows that fake views produces no engagement.Youtube is getting annoying from each update their algorithms are also punishing new channels that don't buy views.

That’s 100% real, a friend of mine in the same niche with over 50k real life subscribers is getting 1k, 1.5k, 2k views... Kinda shame.

i can confirm the above, actually if you look into the video page HTML source, you will find now two counters, one is the (API) REAL total count of views that will soon be sync to the video counter ON CONDITION that the video got a valid interaction (LIKE/DISLIKE or Comment), this issue started after the recent YT update on JULY 11 as an extra layer of protection and detection of non-organic campaigns, but this issue will be solved in the next 24 hours.

I’m glad to hear that these observations helped to reach out how to address that YouTube update.

Does that mean, you would stop getting views if people stopped sending you comments/likes etc?

Its almost end of 2019 and this thread is still so valuable. Thanks op

Thanks a bunch! It was a long but very useful read. I'm not into YouTube (yet), but might come in handy later.

this thread was ONLY relevant to JULY 2018, currently views are update OK and as usual regardless of user engagements

Understand
Today views won't boost suggested/browse organic views anymore, nor impressions...
... or I might be buying wrong views lol. But I tested many till now...if you have ones that work let me know and I will test.
