The more blogs that are in established sites have, the more content they need, the more likely they are to hire freelance writers.

Grammatical errors does not effect rankings and also those sites may have higher or good quality back-links.
If the grammar errors are bad, what about the quality of the content? Is it a piece of content that goes against the trend? For example, if everyone thinks backlinks are the key to rankings at the top, does the article talk about a different point of view where it proves backlinks don't matter but some other ranking factor matters?

If a site's grammar issues get so bad that it makes visitors hit the back button quickly, Google's RANKBRAIN algo will punish that site

I saw some sites are newly established sites with no backlinks

They might have hidden links like PBN or something. Or maybe the old domains.
