I am confuse with domain age, please help!

I just bought an expired domain on http://www.expireddomains.net and on the domain information in the ABY column that is the Birth or Age Domain, it says that the domain its from 1999 but, when I go to http://www.whois.net I get this information on domain:

Domain Name: mydomain.com
Created On: 15-Mar-2012 00:00:00
Expiration Date: 15-Mar-2014 00:00:00

If I go to Way Back Machine >> http://web.archive.org

I can see that domain was created on 1999

And if I go to a domain age tool like >> http://www.webconfs.com/domain-age.php/

It tells me that domain is >> 14 years 3 months old (from 1999 if you make the math)

But, other domain tool tells me different like this one >> http://moonsy.com/domain_age/

Tells me >> Age of domain mydomain.com
1 yrs 1 months.
Domain registered 15 th March 2012
Domain expires 15 th March 2014

So, I don't understand which one is it is the the domain from 2012 or 1999?

Please someone help me because I am completely confuse and I feel completely rip off.

Its seem like domain were get expired in 15th March 2012 and re-register that's why it could be problematic!

Well It doesn't mean age lost, but some tools recognized this issue of this gaps and some not!

Yes. Its no longer a "aged" domain from 1999. Its from 2012.

As we say - dropped

The benefits of an aged domain resets when a new owner registers an expired domain.

So, it useless? That is what are you saying, because I did se benefits in other age domain I have bought (in SEO purposes)

Is there any use for them SEO wise, for example if my domain is called redferrari.com and as it says was created first time on 1999 and its now been created from 2012, well if I am interested on the keywords "red" or "ferrari" or "red ferrari" does this domain help me at all with SEO purpuses with this competitive keywords at all?

What I have to check next time I want to buy an age domain? So, this does not happen again

Also, if I buy a domain from backorder that it means its drop too?

And what exactly that means? That all the SEO value its been reset in backlinks and domain age? Can you please explain, I am new on this drop domain issue.
