I have plenty of experience with addiction, but I cant tell you how to exactly get sober because everybody is different. Some people can easily put it down, but some need counseling, AA, also I hope you know how physically addicting alcohol is, so if you are drinking alot consider a medical detox for safety.
If you can just make a push and put it down on your own that would be good, because spending years in sober living / rehab was kind of a pain in the ass, but honestly I wish I could offer more help there its just that I am not an addiction counselor.
What I wanted to say by writing this post is this. i don't know how successful your business is but I am imagining it is at the very least suffering from your alcoholism. If you are still in the early stages of your Internet Marketing career, or even late stages but especially if you are still fighting for success, this addiction could ruin it.
I spent plenty of IM earnings on drugs, which of course was more than just addiction, it was just plain being an idiot. It was early money that could have helped but I blew it. Nothing is worse for a starting business than the cash drain of a alcohol / drug habit, and the potential drop in productivity. So if you need some motivation this is BHW.
Even if your career is stable, you can run that shit right into the ground. Many of the people in rehab with me were middle aged and had careers, but had let their habits get the best of them. 3 years is a while but it could get alot worse. You need to make a decision here like Basstracker said. However, it may take more than just deciding to quit if you are really addicted, you need to look at the physical, mental aspects of it and be prepared for alcohol detox, and changing your bad habits.
I would recommend looking into meditation / mindfullness and spiritual wellness more than anything, its helped me with my old problems. Good luck, hope you can get your life together. Don't use family problems as an excuse. Sure they might contribute, but alcohol only makes shit worse. Either do something to become successful despite the situation, or leave it. Dont let outside things fuck you up.
