I am alcoholic how do I leave it?

I have plenty of experience with addiction, but I cant tell you how to exactly get sober because everybody is different. Some people can easily put it down, but some need counseling, AA, also I hope you know how physically addicting alcohol is, so if you are drinking alot consider a medical detox for safety.

If you can just make a push and put it down on your own that would be good, because spending years in sober living / rehab was kind of a pain in the ass, but honestly I wish I could offer more help there its just that I am not an addiction counselor.

What I wanted to say by writing this post is this. i don't know how successful your business is but I am imagining it is at the very least suffering from your alcoholism. If you are still in the early stages of your Internet Marketing career, or even late stages but especially if you are still fighting for success, this addiction could ruin it.

I spent plenty of IM earnings on drugs, which of course was more than just addiction, it was just plain being an idiot. It was early money that could have helped but I blew it. Nothing is worse for a starting business than the cash drain of a alcohol / drug habit, and the potential drop in productivity. So if you need some motivation this is BHW.

Even if your career is stable, you can run that shit right into the ground. Many of the people in rehab with me were middle aged and had careers, but had let their habits get the best of them. 3 years is a while but it could get alot worse. You need to make a decision here like Basstracker said. However, it may take more than just deciding to quit if you are really addicted, you need to look at the physical, mental aspects of it and be prepared for alcohol detox, and changing your bad habits.

I would recommend looking into meditation / mindfullness and spiritual wellness more than anything, its helped me with my old problems. Good luck, hope you can get your life together. Don't use family problems as an excuse. Sure they might contribute, but alcohol only makes shit worse. Either do something to become successful despite the situation, or leave it. Dont let outside things fuck you up.

I don't know if it can help , but I was drug addict for about 10 years and for some reason I had to go to live in a country where it's difficult to find any drugs because of the very high risk (death penalty) .. I stopped everything in about 1 months . Being very busy and have success helped me a lot too

When. I joined BHW most were noobs now they are most awesome people I know ...how do I put my drink down and concentrate.... I have fucked up family.....

as another member said, AA works for some people. I believe you have already done the first step, which is recognizing and admitting you have a problem. I remember when I was a kid, one of my uncle lost everything (family , job, house) because of the same problem . Stop drinking and ask for help before it´s too late.

Forget meditation, forget AA, forget "positive thinking", forget "addiction councelling" and all of the rest.

Honestly, just buy Allen Carrs "stop drinking" ebook or course or whatever the hell you need.

It isn't swapping one addiciton for another, it isn't a load of fluffy "I'm alright" bullcrap, it's highly persuasive, psychological stuff you need that WILL stop you from drinking - or smoking - or anything else.

I know you might be sceptical, but honestly - it WORKS and wil help you get your life back on track in no time.

Just do it and you can thank me later.

Everyday you wake up you need to access your situation as in where you are in your head and how to be the best you possible. You do this by removing yourself from situations you know aren't going to go well. Usually it can be avoided if you don't keep things pinned up instead of your head. From a psychological standpoint crutches from drugs, alcohol, depression and other such things can come from a person not being able to express themselves and getting outside of themselves. When I say get outside yourself I'm talking about the world is a rather vast place if you can find new ways to occupy your time with people that take things on in moderation you'll be fine.

Also, remember it can take your entire life to achieve what you've been wanting but a moment of stupidity to ruin it all. Like people have already mentioned try getting some help. You can go to meetings and they are pretty nonjudgmental so regardless of how you got to where you are it doesn't matter as they are trying to help you turn that around. Good luck in your journey.

Ahem - or whatever you say - read my post above - this is everything you need to solve the problem.

Don't read or do, then continue to suffer.

Simple.
