HTML custom-build website vs. wordpress customized website

Hey guys,

I have this designer building a 2nd website for me. He already built a wordpress website and I like it. However, I wonder if it would be better to have him build an html customized website now...for my 2nd project.

What are your thoughts? Any professional advice?

Wordpress is just fine. I just most my sites off wordpress now using static pages. Really easy to set up.

you can take advantage of 100s of premium and free WP plugins if u use wordpress.Wordpress is a large community so I think it is wise to get advantage of that .

Custom built websites don't have the kind of intellectual support that Wordpress does. Quite literally there are lots of really smart people working on ways to improve what Wordpress does all the time and then they give the plugin away for free most of the time. And for the one that do sell a plugin, within a few months someone figures out what they did and gives it away as a free plugin anyway.

On the other hand once you have a custom built website, you're kind of stuck with it unless you want to do some coding yourself, or you're ready to drop some more cash to have someone else upgrade it for you.
