How would you monetize such a group?

I have a Facebook group where members advertise job vacancies. It has a little more than 15k members and grows by about 100 new members per day.
I haven't been able to figure out how to monetize this group, so, I figured I'd ask the community here for advice.

Why do you grow a group when you don't know how are you going to monetize it? I mean before doing anything,I would first think the monetization part before diving in.

See what your competitors are doing and try and find out which one is doing it best, copy the approach and do it even better.
You can start out by joining some similar groups to yours or have a look at some websites that may fit your audience.

Advertise job cpa offers probably?

15K is not huge but you can set up a lander with CPA offers and welcome new members with a link there.

That translates very well into cash and takes almost no work once you have the landing page set up.

Write a standard message that is generic enough that it can be sent to the people who post there without much if any editing.

If someone posts a job vacancy, message them and tell them that you offer a service where you will make a post for them. posting as the group means the post will be visible to all members and show up in feeds potentially. offer to pin their post for a fee. sell the service on a site like fiverr and join their affiliate program, depending on what category you sell in you could be getting an extra $15+ per order in affiliate commissions. however the seller would have to join and go through fiverr and be subject to their terms and fees. if you stick to just messaging people on Facebook and stay off a site like fiverr you can tell them you accept PayPal and can send them an invoice/money request. offer to let them write the post themselves and you just post it for them.

I mean holly shit there are tons of ways to generate revenue from a page like that. I did thousands of dollars in sales of posts on that particular page and it only had 3k members and was a page not an active group. Also having a gig on a site like fiverr will allow you to attract traffic and potential sales from fiverr buyers as opposed to just relying on traffic from the group. that said I always found most of my sales and traffic came from people who had already posted on the page. it is easy to sell someone on an idea if they are already doing it.

Is it geographically specific, if so that gives you a few more options. offer to post jobs offered and post peoples CV's so you can take advantage of both sides

I have one that is in the 40K range that is fairly active and if you want to test there let me know.

Free for you to give it a run of course.

Setup a website with the FB feed or simply have them reposted on the page and place display ads or CPA offers.

So your method is to make new members fulfill a CPA offer? If they fail to do that you reject their group admission?

No, I welcome them and link them to my landing page.

It is a much more friendly way to make sure they feel welcome into the group and give me an opportunity to profit from their interaction in the group.

What geo are most of your users from?

I don't have a ton of experience monetizing stuff like this, but I saw a website on Flippa not too long ago which was a job board for helping find veterans jobs, and they did $30k per month by offering a subscription which let subscribers see the best jobs first, receive notifications, etc. I think anyone on these boards likely has a sense of urgency about finding a job, so letting people purchase services which making finding a job faster seems apt.

I think there are websites dedicated to 'selling' job vacancies to applicants. You could offer some of such sites a deal. Their visitors usually pay.

sometime look at advertisers instead of workers in some programs. they make more money by buying low and selling high or some things like that. look at the programs they are advertising(the websites). might be something from there they are providing you here to make money for themselves.

I worked for a company that had a job site and here are a few ways that we monetized:

• Pay-to-post or pay-to-promote job listings (aka get some job listings extra visibility)
• Job Related Affiliate Programs. For example TalentInc has a program where they pay you a fairly hefty commission for everyone you get to use their resume review service. Other examples on the market include LinkedIn coaching, for example.
• HR Services - We made arrangements with employers to make and market hiring videos and other recruiting related content. This increased visibility for the companies and helped them attract better candidates.

I really appreciate the offer. I see myself making a lot of mistakes in finding what works so, I'd rather not destroy a 40k group in the process. Let me see how far my little group will get me

As long as I admin that group you are welcome to test/profit from it without any payment to me or my assigns of course.
