As you know, Content is the heart of seo.If it is not backlink then it will definitely be the content which gives ranking to your website.
Then try guest posting and social shares for better ranking.
Is there any list for guest posting? or by using automation tools will be helpful?

You won't rank higher I'm afraid. Time of smaller sites in top 10 results have ended. Try something else... SEO is dead. Waste of time.

SEO is not dead. You still can rank high but it requires more effort. You should focus on content first, then send multiple signals from backlinks, social media, forum posts and ads. Try to not spam and make it natural.
