How to rank blogspot blog now?

Is it possible to still rank blogspot blogger pages ? Like it's been a while since I have tried to rank one but this just seems odd. I have been picking long tail keywords that should be extremely easy with essentially no comp for them. Been sending social signals ect yet nothing at all ranking period. Like the pages are indexed on Google but when you search the keyword it does not show up on any of the pages and there are only like 7 to 10 pages anyway of results.

So what is the deal with ranking a blogger blog now?

So, you made a blogspot for something simple, like "llama dating", wrote a good post about it, then sent social signals, no backlinks.

So, the site is indexed, you say. How did you check?

Searching for your keyword "llama dating" your site is no where in the SERPs, on the 10 pages that Google presents?

Did I sum up your issue?

Check your article, is your keyword clearly defined? Good density, bolds, headings, all that?
More then likely, if actually indexed, Google has decided your site wasn't about "llama dating" and instead decided it was about something else.

how difficult is your keyword ?

You still have to consider backlinks. Then make sure you post content that are readable. Also check your keyword density. You'll be able to rank it as long as you're doing it right.

Without backlink, nothing will be ranked (except authority sites :-D )

You need SEO, both on page and off page
