Whois privacy protects your name, address, phone number and email address when you register a domain. Anyone who has your domain name can research the domain on the InterNIC website to get additional information about you, making you a target for scams and spammers. When Whois privacy is enabled, your name and contact information are replaced with generic information to protect your identity. If you have several domains, you'll need a Whois protection for each one.

1
Register your domain name through a domain registrar, Eranet has Whois Private.

2
Check the option for domain privacy during the registration.

3
Submit your name, contact information and payment information. A Whois protection is added to your domain name.

If I wouldn't have noticed that you have "sarcasm" tags around the post when quoting it, I'd say "What rep?" :D
