How To make money with this model??

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a rut. and need some advice. this is gonna be quite long but any help is very much appreciated.

Okay so about 4 years ago I made a small dinky website targeting my local town.
On this website, I would post affiliate products from eBay and Amazon.
(cell phones mainly)
I would find sellers on ebay that lived close by to the town I was targeting and post their product on my site along with an affiliate link.

I advertised this site through Instagram and facebook to that certain town.
And I made $40 dollars within under a week.

Somethings happened within my life and I couldn't continue the site anymore.

I would like to create another site like this. But I'm not sure what's my angle?????

Like a (Deals) website but targeting a local town.
Does this sound spammy ??

There is nothing bad about repeating a working method. Spamy? So long as you connect buyer and seller you becomes a third party. It's still business. You can step into business IMAO

You are smart, you will find a way!

I'd say you're overthinking it, just give it another go. Connecting buyers and sellers is something that has always worked and it doesn't have to cost a lot, just find a good way to get traffic. You could use FB, or you could rank for a keyword specific to your town. Good luck dude!

I definitely thing affiliate marketing is profitable.
A good way to go about marketing this would be through local buy and sell groups, look into your local creigslist and see if that might help, and you could run ads and target them toward people geographically to get people from your town to see.

Not a bad idea.
You can even do a twist on this.
Make a website where you post the best eBay listings/deals/steals in your niche, but which are in your location.
For example, Best Furniture eBay listings in Los Angeles. Each article would have an eBay affiliate link to the listing.

Why would this work? There are thousands of listings on eBay, and it takes a lot of time to go through them all. People would love to have a website that shows new Good listings. It would save a lot of time.
