How to make a 4G proxy?

How is the limit with proxidize 20 dongles per one "mini server" / raspberry Pi? that means 20 IPs per one mini server?

can I have multiple dongles connected to a raspberry Pi 4 as well to achieve 5-10 IPs per raspberry Pi?

Different devices have different physical limits. I can't comment on Proxidize here since that might break the rules.

In the case of the Raspberry Pi 4B, you have a 14 modem physical limit, which you can increase with some tinkering but it'll affect the stability.

Normal laptops can handle around 18-20 modems, and servers or PCs can handle more with the use of expansion cards.

My advice when using a Raspberry Pi is don't use anything other than a 4B. Others will support less than 10 modems.

For RAM, 2-4 GBs should be enough. 8 GBs is overkill.

You only need peripherals + an ethernet cable. And make sure you are able to port forward your ports so you can use your proxies remotely.

Will a regular 10 port USB Hub extender work? or does it have to be a fast / special one?
which would you recommend? (found some ORICO 3.0 with 10 ports for 50 USD, they good enough?)

Just test any port to make sure it's working. You can confirm it's working by running a port scan on your public IP.

As long as it's powered, it should be good.
 
No need to restart anything. New IP's are obtained by re-registering in cellular network. All cellular devices can do it.
How can we do this, what command line utilities can we use to re register a USB modem like you say so that we can get a new IP?

Depends on the country probably, for me using Huawei modems - did not work, only hard reboot.
 
Good option. Ngrok would be an easier-to-use alternative for OP. Both are Go-socket-based tools. But still, nothing will compare to getting a direct connection to the router.
I dont remember anymore why I did not want to work with ngrok, perhaps pricing. Cloudflare has tunneling solutions as well, free.

Anyhow, direct is the best, but with backconnect there is no need for cable, all that is needed is electricity that can be solar powered for example. :smirk: 5G modems, UPS, solar panel, and a very interesting concept is born. :smirk:

True. If you're able to get 5G speeds, such a setup would be an absolute beast.
 
Even if you create your own 4G proxies, it is extremely hard to maintain them. Businesses spend millions of dollars only on maintaining proxies. I would suggest you to purchase a proxy instead of creating your own. You can search the marketplace, there are tons of services available. Remember, you can always ask for a trial.

On the other hand, if you are interested in making your own 4G Proxies in all respect, then you will have to decide whether you want to do it with 4G Dongle or Mobile Phones.

I didnt mean that in a disrespectful way, I was genuinely curious about where does the cost for maintaining proxies come from.
Since it only costs to set up the server, pay the electricity bill and pay for 4G mobile plans.

I didnt know there was any extra cost to maintaining it, so I asked.

You were not supposed to worry about it. You got 1 life and you have questions, through questions you learn, this is an open forum and full of knowledge. Please feel free to ask and expect various types of comments(part of the process). Build a 4g proxy takes in depth knowledge of how hardwares work, linux distro, rules that is suitable, clean view of networking.

Do you know all of them? If not do you have enough time to learn? If all YES then keep going forward. This is the best suggestion i can provide to you.

How can I make a 4G proxy with a 4G mobile sim card?
I have a unlimited bandwidth mobile plan, and want to turn it into a 4G proxy for personal usage.

My goal is to make a very fast IP rotating 4G Proxy.

What are the steps I would have to make to get it?

I was just browsing randomly and found this topic. What about if i have acces to cheap smartphones and also cheap 4G sim cards,any way to monetize this with 0 knowledge about it?
