start a blog tomorrow, write 10 articles, watch what ranks and what doesn't... you'll learn more in 3 months of actually doing than 3 years of watching courses
seo for blogging is literally: keyword research → write better than current top 3 → get some high quality niche relevant backlinks → wait → repeat
everyone makes it complicated to sell you stuff but that's literally it... the hard part isn't learning seo, it's doing the boring work consistently for 6-12 months while seeing zero results. if you can do something consistently even without seeing results, go for it asap.

- google's own docs (search quality guidelines) - boring but literally the source
- r/juststart case studies - real people sharing real numbers
- matt diggity's old blog posts (ignore his course pitches)

Where do you learn these videos from and is there any cost or are they free? We have attended free classes and found them to be ineffective.

Forget the hype. To really learn, understand the fundamentals of how search engines find and show information. Build something yourself, put up some useful content, and watch what happens. That's the real education. No single course will teach you 'everything', it's a constant learning game. Look for general web optimization or digital presence guides. Most important: get started and keep testing.
