Hello All,
- I want to keep this short and simple. For those struggling to find a good method to scrape users, I want to share a method that I like to use. I have gotten great FB ratio and engagement etc..just from using this simple method. Based on scraping from content with time filters.
**I KNOW THAT MOST AUTOMATION TOOLS HAVE THESE FEATURES FOR FILTERING, BUT THEY NEVER HAVE BEEN EFFECTIVE FOR ME. ALWAYS HAD BETTER LUCK USING DEDICATED TOOLS FOR SCRAPING/FILTERING.
STEP 1
*Source Accounts
- Find accounts in your niche that are active, have a large following and good engagement rate. I won't go in depth about this, but you should know what to look for. For this I have a few accounts that I call "Post Feeders". Dedicated accounts used to follow these sources, just to scrape their latest content. You may need to profile them in if you want to follow private accounts in your niche, So they accept you. In my case I do a lot of manual filtering for my sources, as I use them long term. I browse IG myself and take note of usernames or scrape a good source and then sort them out.
STEP 2
*Filtering/Scraping Content
- Once you have your accounts setup with some sources followed, its time to filter content. *Filtering/Scraping Content
- The focus is to scrape likes from these post, that are most recent. Giving you active and engaging users to interact with.
- The key focus here is TIME. We are looking for the most recent post possible. I like to use the filter of under 40Mins, you can adjust it how you like. Keep in mind that in order for this to be most effective, you need to follow a good amount of accounts. on average for me an account following over 500, yields about 20 fresh posts. But it all varies, at times I can't find any fresh post, especially after hours and early hours, when nobody is posting. So you may want to have different sources from different timezones. So you can always find fresh post.
- For this I have a simple .js script that I use that scrapes the feed from my Feeder accounts and gives me .csv list with the time filters that I apply. But you can get the post link manually by browsing the feed.
- You can get more in depth by applying like count filters, and such so you can get post that are recent, and have a good amount of engagement from the start.
STEP 3
*Scraping Users
- Now that we have our sources to scrape from, we can now scrape the sources through your method. Jarvee and most other tools support this. *Scraping Users
- We are looking for users that have liked these post. Scrape "Users that have like this post"
- By doing this you have gathered a list of users, that have engaged very recently, and will most likely see your request to follow, or other action.

- An effective of using this list further, is to scrape a post/posts and gather a pool of users (say 500) and spread them to accounts that will follow them with the most priority so they interact with them say within 20 min or so.
Ex.
Scrape 500 users from a post that is 20 min old-->Spread Users to 20 Accounts-->Have those 20 Accounts follow 25 users as fast as possible.
- I usually do this 3-4 times a day, and have the script on autopilot so all I have to do is copy and paste the users into Jarvee.

There's a lot of things you can tweak with this method, and go further with scraping filters. But the idea is what you want to scrape users that interacting with very recent content.
