2.0 Update!

If you've created a post, and there's something you would like to change, you have 30 minutes to make an edit.

On the post you've just created, you will see the option to 'Edit' in the bottom menu on the left hand side:

When you click 'Edit' the post will turn into the text editor box:

You can then make the edit and click 'Save Changes'. If you want other members to know you have changed something, you can put 'EDIT:' at the beginning. Your post will be updated immediately.

If you have posted personal information, such as an email address or phone number, and the time for you to make your own edit has passed, you can contact support who will assist.

Hello,

I am not sure it's the good place to write this, as I do know how to EDIT a post, but I need to learn something related, as I received this :

Reason: Posts merged - use the multi-quote feature instead of responding to posts individually.

How can I do this?

I just discovered your useful answer. Thanks @Don't Panic , but as a very perfectionist girl, if by any chance I noticed a couple of days after a typo/mistype (my first job is proofreader! Sorry;) that I want to EDIT, it's impossible if it's only a little typo and not a personal information... Have I understood good?

I just noticed for example a typo in a word I wrote of someone who quoted me... So too late to be edited?

For example : here is the post of mine I want to edit or maybe erase? Is it possible?

I'm not sure which post in particular you want to edit on that thread, as there are three on that page alone. However, once the 30 minutes have passed, you can report a post and request a mod to edit or delete it for you. You should only do this sparingly as mods don't have a lot of time to spend doing this kind of thing. If you're worried about typos, make sure you read through everything before you hit the post button.

Thanks for this answer... So 30 minutes is OK, I don't know why I thought I read it was only 2 minutes.

Yes, in that case, it was ONLY because of a typo... so don't worry, but you are right, I should RE-READ & PROOFREAD before posting... if I hate the typos of mine! LOL

So i am unable to edit after 30 minutes ...

That's correct. If you have posted personal information, after 30 minutes you can report the post and moderators will edit it for you.

Hey guys, is there a time limit on editing privileges? I made a post and went to edit it straight away, but there is no edit or delete button.

Edit: strangely I can do it on this post, but not in the other thread. hmm

~hmm, its kind of simple, but i still dont understand anything. I will try to figure it out. THanks for the article.~
