How to blog? YouTube, WordPress, Facebook, or personal webpage?

I have many people interested in the topic I want to start blogging about but don't know which platform to choose. I thinking about launching a YouTube channel and recording my tips (which is definitely one the best options), but I also want to make it textual, so that people can read my articles and use them as guidance. So should I spend some time and effort on building my own website or just simply relying on WordPress and social media posts? Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Build your YouTube channel and blog, embed your videos and add articles, best of both worlds. Post your blog pages to social media to get traffic
 
Building your own website on WordPress CMS will give you lots of options to expand in the future.

If you are looking to monetize your efforts in future, do the youtube channel with a dedicated website for text. Not doing a website will hamper your earnings in future considerably.
 
Use every platform available to you. There are several advantages of doing it this way. Each platform allows you to create unique content and interact with people in a unique way. Videos are different than tweets which are different from facebook pages which are all different from a blog. Everything can point back to your blog, and your videos can be posted there, but each platform is it's own marketing platform. Build a following on Facebook, and on Youtube. Use your blog as a method for funneling all of that traffic together, to capture emails, and create a platform for you to collect all of your content in all forms in order to share with more people.
 
YouTube is perfect if you have the confidence for it. Video presentations and animated infographics makes for an entertaining and informative watch. Besides, since you want a textual platform as well, go for WordPress. Keep the two linked and you should be fine.
 
Combining YouTube for visual and your WordPress blog text are a winning combination. By utilizing both you expand your reach. Linking between the two can be very powerful.

Nowadays, you want your audience to have options. When I work on my blog, I often think about how there are times when I don't really feel like reading, so I go search for a YouTube video instead, and vice versa.
 
Build up your own site. Post on social media as well to help you get more people onto your site.

For sure go with a your own blog on a self-hosted Wordpress platform. Then build your social media profiles around it.
 
Build your own VRE (virtual real estate) because all those platforms could change in a flash
