how stream videos from google drive via HLS

Hi

I have been trying to figure out a way to stream videos from google drive via HLS, but I haven't found a good soluation yet.

I use ffmpeg to create the m3u8 playlists and .ts segments, each video is stored in a sepreate folder and that folder contains the .ts chunks and the index meu8 file, I don't store the original stream just the chunks, now i want a way to restream those videos back from google drive to jwplayer via HTS protocol, I'm really new to this so any help or resourses would be highly appreciated

There is this package available - https://github.com/vudung45/HLS-GoogleDrive

Its run on node and looks like it could do what you are trying to achive.

I would suggest to look into it from a different perspective. I think that reading a lot of chunks from the drive could be slow and problematic. You could try to set up Nginx proxy server that streams mp4 file from the drive and then does the HLS magic on the fly. You will need server for it, tho. For this kind of fuckery I usualy use Nginx RTMP Module.

Thanks alot man I will try it, I know it would be much better to have the entire video and then do the HLS job and that is the approach that i was going with at the begning, but the problem is that those videos are copyrighted material and they are getting flagged by google another problem is the processing sometimes some videos take hours and even days to complete the proccessing
