I've just recently gone with the hostgator reseller program and used a wordpress theme that supports a WHMCS-bridge. So far so good. Once I reach a certain number of clients, I will switch to my own dedicated server.
Any earnings? I was thinking about testing hosting with one of my domains
For only a month in, I'd say yes. But only because I've been extremely proactive with finding clients. However, it has indeed eaten up a lot of my time.
Hey bro, cant PM you back not enough Post skype me julianhdgg
I have been around 20 years in the business, i must say is not easy, hard work, think out of the box, and provide quality over quantity. Good luck!
I've known quite a few people who've attempted to start their own "hosting business".
Every single one of them shut down after a could of months. It might seem an easy way to make some money without too much investment, however, you need to know your shit before you get into it. There are countless of problems that may occur that would clog your server. Malicious plugins, cluttered databases etc. etc. etc.
If you have a couple of months to lean the basics of server administrations, you might have a chance. If not, quit while you're ahead.
For Starting Better if you can tell your starting budget too? because any business capital is main thing that matter. personally i have bad experience with host gator. but it was 7-months ago. Now they might improved.
People started to find hosting by their own so they just search on the net finds hosting company. Before, they left this work to people who handles but after wordpress evolves they started to built their own sites too.
Start with the reseller hosting only, probably a reseller turnkey solution that includes all the tools required to manage web hosting like WHMCS or any billing software and end user support so that you dont have to worry about providing technical support to your clients.
There are many services you can offer with Hosting. I would go with a few I'm very familiar with like VPS and Dedicated Servers.
They seem to be the easiest services for a reseller to offer because you can approach this in many ways.
You can either redirect traffic to your mother source or get your own clients and you buy what you need from your source. I will make a complete tutorial on how to start up a webhosting company.
you want domain reseller or hosting reseller account.
google has a giant database because every SEO would have worked hard to rank for your keyword. "create my own webhost".
googling it would reveal many destinations to look for.
if not worked, try this section on BHW.
If you wish to start a hosting business, then I suggest you to buy a dedicated server with average specification. And install VMware Esx or any other visualization operating system, so that you can create VPS and start with shared and VPS hosting service.
take this advice
Depends what you want to resell. Just shared hosting or also virtual servers. Your safest bet is take a small VPS and promote shared hosting on forums.
The best option for a start is to affiliate with a big hosting provider or to buy a reseller hosting plan if you only plan to sell shared hosting
+1 We have seen a lot of resellers begin to do nothing more than being an affiliate as you usually make the same profit with none of the work involved. If you can find a good affiliate program which offers recurring commissions you can easily create your self a good salary with doing nothing more than basic sales work.
If you want to do web hosting yourself, you need to have a niche where next to no one sells hosting otherwise you will be in the deep end with the big boys with huge advertising budgets. Most large companies will spend more money in a day on advertising than you will likely make in a decade at a good paying job.
It's a difficult business to get into however a very profitable one if you can get the right company who provide you with reseller hosting and can get a good name for yourself. Look for quality and reliable hosting and stick at your idea. Remember it will take some time to get your business off the ground but with dedication you should see results. Good luck!
If you want I will provide you good quality vps in cheap price. Please let know the hardware specification of the VPS. So the I can tell you the price
You need to consider that there are already many hosting companies out there and if you want to succeed you need to offer your customers something unique, something that only your company can offer.
Separate names with a comma.
