How start my own hosting business?

Do your research, plenty of searches and researching companies is one way to start. Once you have a company that you know is reliable and what you are looking for push yourself out there, have a professional looking website and make sure they know who you are and what you offer. It's all about giving a good impression to succeed in sales.

hosted00.net has some great reseller plans, got a few from them myself and refered some customers to them. simply by a good domain and temaplate then your set. whmcs is a good billing system to start to. webhostingtalk forum is also a good place to start getting clients. good luck p.s. hosted00 has promo on reseller plans, 20% off for new customers. promo is HOSTED00NEW - pretty sure it still works

You need to be sure that this is what you want to do. Opening up any kind of business is going to take time and a lot of work. If it is what you want to do make sure you have an idea and a plan, get people on board to help you and work from there. Just don't give up, takes time and patience but the results are worth it.

What if it is within your budget to purchase physical servers? Would that be of any advantage? Also, when people say 'offer something unique', do you mean hosting for specific site themes/ special freebies, etc?

You should make sure you offer your clients Cpanel. Cpanel is an easy way to allow your clients to manage their hosting. Selling hosting requires a lot of time and investment.

cant you make a hosting company by having your own servers like hostgator or ipage?
