I personally use Logo Making softwares. But for Logo Designer profitable market is corporate world (offline). You can charge around $300 -$500 easily!

If you are serious about competition then try crowdsourcing websites like 99designs.com. They pay more than anybody else.

I agree with you. A professional would design the logo file as a vector graphic.

Starting $50 might be more depending on the logo design and what the client prefers.

hello buddy, finally you're arrive here
he is my friend since senior high school until now and he's a good logo designer too, well personally logo is art, it doesn't have fixed price. you can buy a good quality logo in fiverr but i think it would be hard to find a real good logo designer, almost all of the logo designer have a standard price, it's depend on quality, revisionn or else. if i need a good logo designer, my budget is around 50 - 200 usd, i think its reasonable price $100-$700
I freelance as a graphic designer too. Always consider the work you put in and how it serves your client. Logos help a business stand out, be recognized and be trusted. Logos are printed on pens, stationary to shirts and advertisements.
Believe me, you'll be declined a lot of business but it'll always be worth your time and effort in the end. Especially if your client is asking for multiple changes.

I am working as logo designer since 2010 and I charge $40 per logo, one thing interesting about working with me as I don't charge any upfront so I charge only if client like.
fiverr is good place for starter, I used to be fiverr guy in 2009/10 but no more work over there.
so the thing is it depends upon your business scope if you are looking for high end logo then $200 will be at least you should pay so that designer spend couple of days over it.
Right now i charge $40 and design two to three logo each day.

if you work for a company you cant really iuse Fiverr - in the past i used 99Desing, and a few other. Good thing with those companies designers submit their designs and if you dont like them you can just withdraw your project and they'll refund you.
