How much would YOU pay for a professional logo?

Well yeah, Depends on the Importance of the website/business.

I spent 300$ for getting a logo designed to one of my eCommerce website :)

IMHO: Art and Design is a rather strange area globally - being an artist and designer myself, I would never pay for anything design related (I even paint my own canvases for my walls). But, that doesn't mean there isn't any artists and designers I like and respect; there are a few more than a few.

The area is very strange because a talented designer could sell a logo for a $5, he could also sell a logo which took him the same time to craft together for $500, $5000 or even a million.

Exactly the same applies to artwork itself. Some artists don't even make a living, others, whom often in my opinion are less talented, sell their work for hundreds of thousands.

I would take a punt at the 400% theory for being the reason for this, but it still rather strange and interesting (so, learn from it).

Just my 2 cents,
Ninjr.

Well professional logo design can be cost you $3000 - $ 25000(I'm talking about the professional graphic designer).

Problem is, people take logo design - and a lot of other design - at face value.

A lot of people assume that logo design merely means opening Photoshop and throwing some text and other elements together. And for some designers, that is true.

But for any professional designer, he or she would research the target demographic, take the business' culture/products/mission into account, and incorporate it into something that reflects all of that and is versatile, meaning it can be used in flyers, a web page, T-shirts, or even a billboard.

And a lot of times, you don't get just one logo. Often you will need a full logo, an icon, and a simplified version of both (if they are complex and not print-ready).

So that's what a business is paying for, not just a bunch of stuff thrown together in a logo. And given the value of the work, it's worth much more than $5 or $50.

Hi, I'm a graphic designer myself and I personally would pay the lowest $150 for a logo, and at the most $250, unless I had a really big budget that is. It really depends on what the logo is for, if it's for just another small niche site then $50-$150. If it's for a real company in services or retail, min. $150-$250.

$50 is the price which is enough for any logo design, but due to more buyers designers sell it upto $1000! lol

Given that the average hourly rate of US graphic designers is ~$68, can you justify effective market/business research, initial design, vector compatibility, and revisions in less than an hour's work?

I do all my designs with 3ds max, photoshop and zbrush. I doubt I could justify anything other than $68 per logo. I know people like to drag their ass on working, and I know how to do a lot of things myself. If the person is a scrub or does not have a extended 8-12 year portfolio for their work, $0.50. I can go get college kids if need be that would do it for free. Quality? I do my own stuff if I want quality, I can't trust anyone to take the time and effort (love) to make my logos and such.

Hi Guys,

Need an idea to price my logo designs at. So the big question. How much would you pay for a professional logo design service?

There are so many logo makers out there it is hard to get a good price for your logo work. You might want to start off charging a low price and work your way up once you start building a rep and increase your portfolio. Only then will you be able to charge more for your work because of your portfolio size.

Dude i just said $50 is enough for a medium professional logo which people on bhw wants but yeah, when it comes to really awesome logos like bmw has, it worth $10,000 or more. Which i don't think bhw members need.
That what I am saying , because there are a lot of logo buyers who don't know places to buy good logo at reasonable price go with those designers and make a hole in their pocket. How can i say this, I usually get brilliant logos at $10! I am unable to show you! but hope i could do that.

Please check republikdesign biz, they charge $50-$750 for a professional logo and all package are unlimited revisions with a lot bonus bonus and bonus. :01:

Hi,
It depends to who you gonna sell your logo to. For example my country bought a stupid logo for 2.000.000 Euro.
So, if you sell logos for big companies you will get lots of money, but if you sell your logo to your friends or other people on internet you will earn less money

I actually get great results from fiverr for the 5 dollar logos then I just edit them myself in Illustrator. Some times I just spend the money to get ideas, I think its worth it long term to learn to make your own logos. its crazy what you can do with illustrator. but professional id pay 50, its what I ask for when I upsell clients but 99designs go up to 500+ per logo.

Beautifull logos ! You could easily receive 40-60$ for your job.

Well, the prices vary but not from the design but according to your customer. You can earn upto $500-$1000 if u are able to convince and satisfy your customer !!
