How many times should I link from a PBN?

Thank you glad you like it.

So... what is your question then? :)
Good one !! I don't have a question, well not PBN related anyway - I'm not using PBN's but maybe I should be - I find your posts very informative and honest and I learn a lot - I like to give kudos where it is due. :)

Ok fair enough :)

great post.

I feel lucky to find this post as I'm trying to build my own pbn :)

the recommended ways are using links in homepage.
In that way, how offer should I update posts in my pbn?
or say, how to maintain the pbn, especially expired/deleted pbn?

Thanks

Homepages are where the power is. That's why we use them.

I make sure each unit of my network gets at least 1 "update" post a month

Thanks for taking your time sharing your knowledge in this thread!! Really appreciate it.

Let's say I buy non .com/.net/.org domains in the 120-200 USD range from a broker, build a nice looking wordpress site, add non-spun / well readable articles and everything turns best case scenario. I would add new posts 2-4 times per month and keep it "maintained". The PBN build turns out really well but falls somewhat short of "good money site quality". The use is one homepage OBL to one moneysite.
How does the power in that scenario compare to a good quality niche edit that costs the same as the above?

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

#1 reason people get into PBN is that it gives you total control. Niche edit is owned by a 3rd party.

Also...

Links closer to the root are considered more valuable and engines give them more weigh. Root itself the most.

root.com
root.com/niche-edit

So even if the niche edit has the same amount of links the weight will be different because of the source page type.

That's why homepage PBN links are so sought after.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question! I think i will very carefully try to add a small HQ PBN!

Where do you typically place links on your PBN's homepage?

In the past I have encounted PBNs which display full blog posts on the homepage, meaning all links within those posts will be present on the homepage. But this is a fairly unusual practice on-PBN websites, which only include post headings or snippets. Footer/Sidebar links are an option, but in-content links are normally valued higher.

Either as Sticky post, or simply inside of a static content on the homepage (when homepage is not blog page)

You're right. That's why what I also sometimes do is display only excerpt but make it show clickable links. (they are converted into text by default)

decent power / juice if you keep OBL (outbound link count) below 20 (ideally below 10)

lowering power / link juice because of increasing OBL with each link

Are you talking about the total outbound links of a website? Let me give two examples to help the conversation.

Example #1: One website has a total of 10 pages, with one outbound link each, for a total of 10 OBL in the whole site.
Example #2: One website has a total of 10 pages, with 7 outbound links each, for a total of 70 OBL in the whole site.

So, is it a problem if you get a link from the second one?

So far, I pump my PBNs with posts, having at least three links pointing to authority sites, with a typical PBN having a total of 50+ total outbound links and a couple of links to my sites (depending on the tactics you described).

Great guide. Thank you OP for taking the time to make such a detailed tutorial. Love the fact that BHW memebers don't focus on making a profit only and share their experience.

Hope to give back to the community soon, learning curve for now though.

I was referring to OBL on a specific page (homepage) but I think the overall OBL counts as well.

Scenario 2 is definitely worse.

It's like a giant pipe with small pipes on the sides and each small pipe has holes and is leaking.

Authority links are leaking too (if they are follow) but they are supposed to increase trust and are part of EAT so having them might actually be beneficial. It's still a trade though.

Τhread bookmarked!

Nice guide, thanks

Trying to get some love back ;)

Great, very informative!

But if i already run on scenario 5, how we should do for change it to scenario 1 ?
Should i remove all my existing post ?

And, how long we can got the result of using this method ?

First of all I would make sure you are correct. Create a spreadsheet and note all the links. Sources and targets.

If you want to switch from #5 -> #1, just remove all internal links and only link once from the homepage to one target money page.

And, how long we can got the result of using this method ?

For as long as links are a ranking factor.

Thanks for the information, i will try the #1 method.

Should i still updating post when i used #1 method ?

Yes, definitely.

You want to keep the website live and grow the relevancy. With more content it will also start to rank for long-tails and bring in organic traffic giving it further more power.

This is where i am stuck in my pbn building process. How do i make links on excerpts clickable? Or if i use a oage builder for my home page and add a over two thousand words and make a great homepage design alongside, will this do the work? I feel the latter doesn't look natural tho. I prefer the idea of the snippet

This thread has so much valuable information thanks a lot for the insight. Definitely opened my mind to new routes and you saved members countless hours of failure
