How many keywords you add in an article?

Write the informative article and add the keywords on 3 to 4 times in a 2500 word article that is enough. The main thing keyword is naturally placed in each article don't dump the keywords and not add the keyword in irrelevant placement.

Have 1 main keyword and 2 to 5 LSIs.

Mention the main keyword at least 10 times but not over 15 times.

While we advise 1% keyword density to our clients, mentioning your keyword 25 times in a 2,500-word article does not seem natural anymore, especially if it's a long-tail keyword.

We keep a strict 1% keyword density on 500-word articles only unless our customers wants us to force a 1% keyword density even after explaining to him or her why we do not recommend such.

Mention your LSI terms once or twice.

Do you write your articles on your own?

Keyword stuffing is no longer the golden goose. Google has already killed it more or less.

What works for ranking now is content quality and user engagement.

+1 for this. Quality and user engagement matters a lot. Even if the quality is high but in bookish lang and visitor leaves the website after reading a bit, it does not help.
also it matter where you are placing it. you should not go for percentage just use it couple of times and try to use 2 words and 3 words phrase multiple times.

Keyword-stuffing or the application of a keyword density still works provided it is being done in moderation. One needs to apply common sense when optimizing content to "please" search engines.

Just like what I wrote above, while applying a 1% keyword density in a 500-word article still seems okay, it might do you more harm than good when you apply it to a 1,000-word article or so. Why? It's weird to stumble upon a phrase, especially if it's a long-tailed keyword, 10 or more times in a 1,000-word article.

This is why we believe that we can please both human readers and search engine algorithms in writing. :)

For that article size, I'd like to go with 5-10 keywords. The first keyword must be located on the first sentence of your article. Sometime, the search engine would list the first paragraph (sentence) of your article on the search engine, rather than the meta description, so it would be good if you can ensure that the keyword appears within the first few words of the first sentence, in order to ensure that the search engine lists the right thing on their SERP.
Based on my observation, the search engine can alternate listing the meta description or the first sentence of your article, and due to the quarterly dance they have, it would be the best practice to do so accordingly.
There is a small instance where the search engine may list other paragraphs on the article (below the first), so it would also be good if sometime, the keyword appear on the first sentence on the paragraphs below.

This is very helpful it’s very important to not over use them.

No, I don't write articles of my own, I give for outsourced.

Get the articles written for the read not for seo, this only works well if you have good writers though who understand what they'r doing and the content flows naturally.

It doesn't actually really matter how many because if you're writing for people you will eventually use keywords that will work well all together. Don't just stuff it with keywords - will only harm you in the end

I use tier 1,2,3 and 12 keywords in 1 article ...

All depends on keyword competition I think

In my niche all top 5 raked sites have been using targeted kwyord for not more then 2 times.
All of them used targeted keyword in first and last parragraph. and sprinkled lsi keywords all over the articles.
ohh I have forget to mention that average article size 5000+ words

Absolutely. Focus on quality content and try to use lsigraph.com or textoptimizer.com to add related terms in your content instead.

It depends on the text. If it's about 1000 words, I will put the keyword once or twice. For longer texts, I try to put a bit more, although it is best if it sounds natural. Keyword stuffing is always quite annoying and obvious.

1-4 KWs will do. But really... just focus on writing quality content and always think of avoiding using too much KWs.

Write keyword that will not erase the relevance of the article in each significant sentences you can insert these keywords 5 to 10 times will be good enough.

I will place 2 times maximum. I'll ask my writers to create an interesting content about my niche and the I insert my keywords naturally into the content.. So here my opinion is to create content for visitors & rank my keywords naturally
