I know that having high-quality, informative and helpful blog posts is what you really need, but when you're just trying to get content out there is it better to just try and push a bunch of blog posts out or have a small amount and just market those?

I guess what would help me is:
How long your blogs been running?
How many blog posts you have?
How many you post a day?

Quality over quantity is paramount in blogging. While consistency is key, prioritize creating valuable content over churning out numerous posts.

A small amount doesn't cut it because Google won't give you topical authority. By small amount I mean like 30 posts. Micro-niche websites don't work anymore.

In the beginning focus on writing 100 posts to gain some topical authority. One or two posts per day should be good (if you write manually). When you reach 100 posts you can slow down and focus on refining, but still post 2-3 articles per week regularly. Surely it's best to write every day if you can and if you won't burn out.

Some niches require more articles than others, so it depends on your keywords if you need 300 articles, 500 or 1000 to cover the niche fully.

Topical authority doesn't exist any more. Google won't rank websites just because they have 100 of articles.

It exists but you don't get it as easy anymore. Just because Google punished many websites it doesn't mean it's gone.

This wasn't the case before either. There are multiple factors ofc but 100 articles is a good rule of thumb to establish topical authority.

You can't build topical authority from nothing any more especially in popular topics. Google only trusts big brands and only they have topical authority. You can't get it on a fresh new domain name.... maybe on good expired one but this is the risk too now. Only very very specific topics may get you somewhere but it won't be very profitable.

I understand that you and many ppl may think this is the end of blogging due to the google update but as you said some topics still work and you don't know if they aren't profitable.

The topic here is the number of posts, so if you have another number in mind go ahead and suggest it.

There is no fix numbers but content freshness helps rank in google.

There are no fixed numbers. As long as the quality of the content is good and it provides more value Google always likes it. Also, you need to target more long tail keywords and do a proper internal linking between the articles.

3 - 4 articles a day?

1 per day is more than enough, and that's the maximum in today's time that everyone should opt for, anything over = spam.

Do you really think that by putting out 3, or 4 articles daily we can put out quality in 3, or 4 quality articles every day?

Let's not lie to each other, half of these answers are copied from others, 1 answer is legit, and everything else is relevant.

1 solid article can give you literally 100 search queries, 1 keyword = 100 related keywords.

Small plan for 1 up to 2 years:

  • 1 new article daily for KD (keyword difficulty) 0 - 20% - 6 months to a year.
  • 1 new article every 2 to 3 days KD up to 30% - 6 months to a year.

After a year or two, everything is easier.

It is very important to build authority first, that's where 99.99% of people lose the battle because they don't have the patience to build something in the long run.

Why could I have $1,000 every month from next year if I can take $10 today?

That's the mentality, unfortunately.

Yes, some will work but maybe as a hobby.... you won't get much profit from it. For more popular topics you won't rank.

Number of posts? Could be anything from 10 to 100.

I would say quality over quantity. You can post as much as you want, as long as the quality of the blog is good google will index them.

In the beginning you don't get much profit, but later you do. You don't need popular topics to be profitable.

Nope. 10 posts is not enough.
If you rely on Ads you need a lot of traffic to be profitable, unless 10$ per month is enough for you. You may get more from affiliates but this Google hates even more.

Yes 10 posts could be enough for very speicifc topic. Quality over quantity.

Do you have a blog with 10 posts and a lot of traffic or you just imagine it?
I have small websites with low amount of posts generating good value traffic. I didn't say you can have a lot of traffic from specific topics. That's my point. The only chance to rank these days is from very specific topics which will not bring good profit.
