How long does it actually take to rank up?

Hey, if proper and on-point optimization is done on the website and the video, how long does it really take to even rank up at 3rd or 4th position in the 1st page of Google and in the 2nd or 3rd position in Youtube search respectively?

And any tips for achieving that?

Impossible question to answer every single keyword is different. Some keywords can literally take years and a huge amount of effort and money. Look carefully at the competition on page one before you start on any keyword.

What if I do it on long tail KWs? And I know the time can't be predicted but still what is an average time take to rank up a YT video to 2nd or 3rd in youtube?

Depends on keyword, competition and the industry you are working in. Hold on to it till you achieve what you want. Research more and analyze more all of these.

If mid competition, and if you have some good hq links linking to your site, and if your site has mild-authority, then I should say that you can rank within 1-3 months.
But if for long tail keyword, and if your site has mild-authority, and also has good hq links, then I can say that you can reach that 1st page within 2 days to a week, depending on the search engine update cycle.
