Good evening or good morning – depending on when you're reading this.
I’m 21 years old now, and around 5 years ago, I was crazy obsessed with making money online. I used to sit in front of my computer for 16 hours straight without getting bored.
I dropped out of school at a young age and started working a tough factory job – 12 hours a day, with only Fridays off. I’d spend most of my time at work and then come back home to dive deep into learning everything I could about making money online.
I learned a LOT of things, but the one field where I actually made some real money was CPA marketing. I used to make between $10 to $50 a day by posting on 2 or 3 TikTok accounts.
After a while, the views dropped and so did the income. I tried everything – creating more TikTok accounts, using other traffic sources, spammy methods, multiple accounts, hiding my identity – you name it.
After about a year of grinding with almost zero results, I decided to quit.
Then I had an idea: why not buy a successful TikTok account?
So I started searching on social media and eventually found a guy who owned a girls’ gaming account with around 1 million followers.
I reached out to him. He wanted $1,000 for it – which was a lot for me back then.
So I made him an offer: instead of buying it, I’d handle the ads and he would just put the game links in his TikTok bio. I’d split the profits with him.
He thought I was a scammer at first, but after the first day when I actually paid him his share, we started working together and kept going for a whole year.
Some days, the account made $200, sometimes less, sometimes more. Over the year, we made $20,000 and split it 50/50.
Eventually, his account stopped getting views for no clear reason. He tried making new ones and testing other ways to bring traffic, but nothing worked.
It’s been about 3 years now since the income stopped.
I got a new job that’s 8 hours a day after quitting my old one.
And honestly… I’m super frustrated.
Those 3 years were full of trial and error, thousands of hours, sleepless nights, constant learning – and it all feels like it went to waste.
This is my depressing little journey.
Today, I logged into my CPABuild account and saw someone share their stats – he made $1,500 in a single day! That’s $45,000 a month.
It made me wonder:
How much effort?
How many years does it take to reach that level?
What’s the right way to get there?
I know for a fact he started with $0. I’m sure he had days where he only made $5. But still… how? When? What path did he take?
All these questions make me feel like it’s not impossible — but at the same time, it’s also really discouraging.
When I think about those numbers, it really feels like it’s worth chasing.
I live in Egypt, in a city where the cost of living is low.
Honestly, just $200 to $300 a month would let me live a very, very decent life.
So if I ever reach a point where I’m making $45,000 in a month… I’d be insanely happy.
I feel like one day I’ll look back at this message and smile — maybe even come back here to tell you that I actually made it.
I’m trying to stay positive. But deep down, I’m really scared.
I’m scared to even imagine that maybe I’ll never make it — that I’ll just stay stuck in my 8-to-4 job, or jump from one job to another forever.
