How does Google find fake reviews on Google Places?

Dear,
Google is very smart and loves Natural working. If you are making reviews from same MAC address even though changed proxies, then it will be noticed by Google. But, sometimes Google used to ignore some elements if you try hard to look natural.

I post 9 reviews to one Google Place business from different Google accounts and different computers. Noone was flitered. But when i posted 10th --- 3 out of 10 reviews were filtered.
 
It is opposite. Reviews are very important to make choice.
If new business providing good services and there are big competition. It is low chance new business can survive. But if competitors provide low quality services and real customers living bad reviews after using their services. For new business just need couple good reviews that can boost more traffic. And then new business have more chance to survive if continue provide excellent service. But another thing if leaving good reviews for new business that providing low quality services.
 
Yes, i was wrong a bit. It's still useless most of the times cause some sites are full of fake reviews by hired marketers, asians and underlings. Like 000webhosting having posizive reviews? They hace just disabled a test yourls site of mine yesterday after 1 day. Cpu usage.. yeah.

it has to be a pool approach, like youlikehits, etc.
 
I agree. What makes it even more difficult is the fact that Yelp is pretty much inconsistent. Today, your review sticks, then it gets filtered, then it sticks again, then gets filtered.

Interesting. I have a client that got a bad review, but it was from an account that only had one review (the bad one for my client) no photo, no profile information whatsoever, yet it showed up. You think it will stick or is it something the algo needs to crawl and eventually delete?
