How does companies deal with piracy?

Hi kind users of bhf, i was wondering how do free movies uploaders avoid trouble with the gov or the creators of that movie?

The uploaders are mostly located outside of West Europe and America where the laws are more lenient and the police don't have the time or the money to investigate. The companies also usually just send a simple and quick DMCA and the file locker deletes its and thats the end of the story. They aren't going to waste their time suing people in countries where they can only get a fraction of what you can win in a lawsuit in the States.

so someone from germany hasn't got a chance to make a free movie site?
