How do you stay organized?

Hi,
I use a paper notebook for username and passwords and folders in my computer with all the information related with each site (Articles, pictures, Excel files with backlinks) and it's working fine for now.

Mostly excel and .txt too. Don't hesitate to create multiple tabs in your sheets, and divide your projects in many folders. Then just create shortcut to folders you often go.
But I like write main passwords on a notebook in case some serious shit happen to my HD.

Paper and a Pencil, i am old school.
The rest is in an MS SQL database, harder to manage, but easier to analyze.

I keep all my projects in an excel file, with a column that explains who I'm waiting on and for how long. It's quite simple, just started it a few weeks ago, and I can say, I'm sure a lot more organized and productive!

I use mostly text files which I try and keep in tidy folders.

I have all these on a dropbox folder (www.dropbox.com) which syncs with all the pc's, vps and my phone. Works well for me.

yep, all the best ideas come from a pen and a piece of paper. I find that writing and planning on paper helps me distinguish offline and online mode. When i was working without a pen and paper, quite often i would just fire up the computer without knowing what the fuck i was doing and end up getting distracted by all sorts of crap - click, click click and suddenly 5 hours have passed without achieving what i actually wanted.
^^^ this!! ^^^

Usernames and passwords - Memorized
Articles - Evernote or Google Docs
Keywords - Evernote or Google Docs.

An advantage here is everything is synced from my computer to phone so I can access anything anywhere.

Try these... Txt file and desktop Excel is so outdated :)

Evernote is worth to try, using it too :fing26:

I keep a little notebook next to the computer. Usernames, passwords, websites to remember, random stuff I need to jot down etc...

Works great.

LastPass for Passwords and Notes, Keepass for the client accounts, Folder/subfolders for every project, text fles with data, ToDo.txt on my desktop. Chrome bookmarks. All cloud synced. Freedcamp as alternative of Basecamp.

I using wunderlist for my tasks and goals- short term and long term as well. It's amazing free organizer which also provides mobile app, so you have always your tasks/goals with you :)

All other details as backlinks, list of sites (web 2.0, directories...), clients etc. are in my excel spredsheets.

thanks @OP for this thread. I just installed evernote and wunderlist too. i try to figure how to create the master spreadsheet.
any IM, SEO, webmaster, sysadmin, affiliate templates?

I usually use .txt files but I've found that spread sheets are way better.

I've tried this for some time but after a while by desktop get clustered x.x
I ended up losing a bunch of keywords like this :/

I keep everything written down in a notebook, but I also keep everything in EVERNOTE as I can sync it across my phone, and computer, never at a loss to be able to access my info.

I use a folder per product and then divide it in articles, backlinks, site etc.
The passwords I just store in Roboform.
