How do you distill useful knowledge from seemingly successful people without asking them?

Sometimes I see people doing business on youtube and I hate their guts. But not for the reasons you might think. I hate their guts, because

  • They are still there. Their business doesn't tank, they don't suffer loss of money. They keep on posting regular content, no matter what. A storm can come and they are not even phased. Like companies that should not make money, but they do. More and more. And I cannot figure out why.
  • They are always well groomed, have a perfect radio voice, not to mention good genetics.
  • They show zero vulnerability.
  • They almost always have the hottest women next to them.
  • It seems they never have any traumatic experience to battle with, no real challenges. Or they have them and pass them with ease. You as the viewer feel inferior in every single aspect of life. And of course they reveal nothing that could help you be closer.
I hate their guts, because I have not been able to make my body be that way......

So you base your resentment of these people based on a 10 minute part of their life, and especially a 10 minute video thats meant to portray the best version of themselves they can be?

What about the other 23 hours and 50 minutes? You dont know how depressed, self-concious, happy, content, confident they are so why jump to conclusions?

I hate their guts, because I have not been able to make my body be that way. I know that being calmer is better when dealing with other people but my body just won't follow along. When I do it, I look like a car flooring it while having the brakes on. I can only put on and off the brakes, never lay off the gas pedal. Without braking, I talk like a waterfoul, speak fast, have crazy ideas.

At least now that I talk daily for my podcast, my voice also improved towards a radio voice.

Can anyone relate. How do you deal with problems like that? How do you distill useful knowledge from seemingly successful people without asking them?

Very interesting.......I feel similar to you in that I have so many things I want to say and talk about but I can't.....it's like breathing through a straw everyday. I feel so stuffed up and congested and no way to get it out which is why I focused more on starting my own forum website (for just talking about issues) or podcasting and trying to make more videos just talking. I'd love to do what Joe Rogan does and the money is really nice just for talking :)
