I check the PR. Backlinks, PA DA. Bonus if the domain is age.

You can't just look at a single factor and decide.

You need to look at the factors as a whole.

For example, if you only take PR into account, you're going to buy a bunch of fake PR domains.

You need to take into account, age, PR, backlinks, and PA/DA to name of few, as a whole.

What tool is that BTW?

Its www.expireddomains.net ... Is there a better one out there that you would recommend. One that gives a domain rating maybe.

Domain age and domain authority are the most important aspects i considered when I purchased the old domain. Check the backlinks is also a must to make sure it was not penalized by search engines.

The backlink profile is the most important to me. If it has spammy backlinks or all low PR/ 0 PR/ no follow backlinks, it's pretty much useless. Age comes next if the backlink profile is intact or atleast salvageable. Then PR/DA.

There are many qualities of domain names such as:

domain age
keyword in domain or brand name in domain name
top extension
page rank
backlinks
alexa rank/traffic
easy to remember
