How do I start building community around pics/videos website?

Hey guys,

I've a website, similar to BuzzFeed, i.e. trending videos, funny pics/stories, etc, which
I started a month ago. I do ~7-8 publications per day. Each publication contains a small
introduction to a series of photos/videos, each photo/video has a small/fun headline.

I buy some FB likes through FB ads and recently bought 1000 likes here at BHW. The web
site barely has any visits (10-100 visits per day).

Right now the goal is to reach 1000 unique visitors per day and then go from there.
Any recommendations on that, besides growing FB page?

twitter, tumblr, pinterest, instagram...

follow people from your niche, post funny images, provide links to your website once in a while with interesting titles directing people to your articles.

pretty simple, but it works.

You will have to use all social media platforms that have enough visitor volumes. Couple that with word of mouth recommendations.
