How do i outrank my competitor

Hello, my domain and website is old arround 3 months now. I have similar domain to my competitor but he has .com and i have .info, it's an adult site. So how can i outrank him? For example: KEYWORD 1 < his page shows up first in google, mine 4th.

I'm not above him maybe because my domain is not old enough? Or because he has .com? I'm getting arround 5k traffic per day (most USA & UK). I made some backlinks on adult forums etc... And 350-500 clicks from search engines.

If anyone know how can i outrank him i would really appreciate. Thank you :)

Page speed is just a small factor in seo, you should focus on On page factors and building backlinks. Age is a factor but the tld I don't think it matters that much.
 
It's not the speed.. it's not the ..com vs info. its the links - the quality of links, and the quantity of links. Looking at pagespeed right now is a red herring. Age is a factor - but one you can't change - so just keep building slow and steady links and bring plenty of patience.
 
Keyword density, h1,h2 tags, interlinking, maybe even a ssl certificate, just check his page and try to replicate what you can.

His page is just like just one line of text not H1 or h2 etc and then bunch of pictures. I have H1 tag, H2 tag, pictures and even the picture seo (picture description, etc..)
 
Is the traffic gained from forum posts?

Only like 5% of my traffic is from Forum posts. Most of my traffic are from Social media and Search engines.

How can i check this? I think my all of them can.
 
I have ran into this issue with my own site. I think my issue is OnPage as well. I am currently fixing this issue and hoping to see the results soon. It can be very frustrating!

Just changed to HTTPS but i have a question, in Google webmasters (console) it still shows as http, do i need to be worried? Or will google automatically rewrite all http to https?

301 redirect http to https to transfer the sugar free link juice, and set in webmasters tool to use HTTPS.

How do i set in webmasters to use HTTPS? I just add new propety in webmasters

Page Speed is Not a Small Factor, it will efforts on Website Rankings and Page Speed also one of the On Page Factor. :)
 
It's really all about backlinks. Focus on that. You'll be fine. It's also important that you have people visiting your site. If Google sees you have traffic, they'll consider your site relevant and give you a boost, but for now just backlinks.
