Hey everyone,

I want to start accepting credit card payments online, but the KYC requirements seem a bit overwhelming at Stripe or Wise, especially for a small business like mine.

So, I'm curious if anyone knows of any methods or platforms where I can accept credit card payments without the need for KYC? I've heard of some alternatives, like buying a verified account, but I'm not sure about their reliability or legality.

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

Do you know "Anti Money Laundering," - which is more or less mandatory for every payment processor; once they detect him, they are - let's say - FU***D up.
And the ones you see or might find—believe me, either they get taken down shortly, have a bad reputation, have very high commissions, or have anything in their ToS that, in the end, doesn't—OK, not the F* word again, themselves, but YOU as a well-informed Person, accepted their ToS.

And by the way, welcome to BHW. :) You are probably not asking this question with your Main Account, anyway—don't do it. AML is mandatory.

And btw:

Not every USD transaction passes through New York, but almost all do (the Fed plays a big role there, as do other AML-compliant institutions).
So if a Bank - not dependent on regional or Big Investment Banks - transfers internationally with USD, it might get cleared in NYC.
And you know - if they risk, that they transfer fraudulent money, they are cut off.

Yeah, but paying with credit card is the only way for me to get paid, since my customer target don't have crypto laying around. Are any types of payment processor that have more lax kyc?

Maybe someone can suggest if you share what kinda services or products you are selling

I'm selling digital goods on Discord, like cheap V-Bucks and stuff from Argentina and Turkey, and I need to have some form for a payment method that really don't need me having to setup a new legal company and I just want less paperwork

High risk processors. But their commission is about 20%

don't get me wrong but that's impossible in every way in 2024

You don't need to setup a legal business to sell dodgy goods :smirk: I got lucky with shopify and took home over 100k before they shut it down. they did try charging me 20k after though. No need to setup a business no one came sniffing around. Before shopify i used PayPal for 5 years no issue

Many of these payment processors use KYC is usually in compliance of anti-money laundering and fraud. The KYC is not only protection for the payment processor but for yourself as well. While yes, you can try other methods that don't need KYC or are not as stringent but you also run the risk of both you and your customers not getting their money just because the payment processor is actually of disreputable nature.

It can be a pain, but I suggest you go do the KYC anyway.

I think the same thing. It is very difficult to receive and send payments in some countries. Receiving only crypto payments may not always be convenient for the customer.

Insert multiple payment processors or show different payment processor on each load and every customers use different one like square, paypal, stripe, authorize.net, braintree, verifone, adyen, wepay. This will split your payments and remove fear depending on one payment processor and getting hold or loosing all of money.
