As a web developer and marketer, i always try to control the cost and expand the results to my clients. I built around 10-15 sites now and found lot of new stuff, tricks to be more cost effective. So thought share my experience with you.

Here's how i managed to build a dropship site for $120 in wordpress.

CMS: Wordpress (because its free, popular and plenty of tools available)

Domain name: $12 (Godaddy / applied coupon)

SSL : SSLforfree

Hosting: $30 (Hostinger) /yr

Alidropship Plugin: $64 (after i applied a 25% coupon i found on a Youtube tutorial)

Theme: I really want to thank @Festinger for this, I got a great theme from his vault of premium themes and plugins.

Total - $120

Finally, i customized the theme, integrated the alidropship woo plugin and now its live and kicking well. :)

Sorry, i can't able to share the site URL, since i sold to a local client and want to protect his interest.

For new people who wants to get into this industry, do your research before you build something, use coupon codes when you buy from online and be cost effective as much possible, because this where you see your profit.

If you have any better options or alternatives that can be more cost effective then do share your thoughts here and i am all ears! ::)

Thanks

Also a tip for FB ads. When I went to create my first ad I cancelled out of the first ad creation which was made in FB directly (not in ads manager) and it automatically offered me $15 credit if I continued with the ad. If you don't quit out of your first ad made directly from the FB page I am guessing you don't get it.

Make sure if you're going to use bing advertising you sign up through an affiliate link offering the bonus $100 credit since there isn't a promo code for that as far as I can tell. That's a mistake I made.

Google adwords you can get a promo code when you sign up.

If you are using Hostinger as your host they you must switch it because their load times get crazy once you have a fully fledged site up. I’d say create your site on a much cheaper hosting and buy the monthly packages and then migrate to a faster one just before launch.

What's your experience using hostinger in regards to speed so far? The price looks good for the service, but does it hold up?

Most shared hosting packages can be very slow at times - eg, sometime they are being overloaded by a neighbor. Just wondering did you specifically picked that web hosting company due to good experience? Or did your client complain anything after you've sold that to him? :D
