Look around the forum on Black hat SEO and white hat SEO, Sort it by views and read your way down. I look at the post that have the most thumbs up. Once you begin reading, if you don't understand a term, google it! Anything takes time to understand my friend.

Never ignore newsletter.
Go through everything it comes up with.

And keep dwelling stuff over here. You'll find many stuff that are not available openly in IMSpace.

6 Ways to Learn SEO:

1.Free Online Guides.
2.Published Literary Works.
3. Blogs, Forums & Search Communities.
4.Building Sites & Earning Rankings.
5.Conferences & Events.
6.Online Classes.

If you only have the time to do one thing to learn SEO, reading the Moz guide is it. Often neglected from one's SEO education is a fundamental understanding of search engines and their business model.

Many competent SEO experts have never been to a conference or read an SEO book. They’ve learned by reading about SEO online, and by getting dirty with hands-on experience. For these experts, reading books and attending conferences can expand their knowledge. But perhaps rather than doing SEO yourself you’re a CMO, VP Marketing, or business owner who would love to learn more about SEO so you can manage relationships with an in-house SEO team or outside vendor. After following my recommendations for SEO beginner’s above, I would check out some of the online publications, watch some videos of SEO experts online, and look towards attending a conference if it’s convenient for you. Without too huge of an investment, your knowledge of SEO can grow quickly.

subscribe BHW newsletter and try to follow the categories White had SEO and Black Hat SEO at BHW.
they will help you to learn lots of things

You should filter 90% of the advice that people give in forums. Usually, people in forums don't know what they're talking about. My advise would be to focus on creating superior content, learn how to create the best content. Ignore link building for a while, it can get you in trouble if you don't have experience.

when i started, what really helped me were other websites besides BHW. BHW has lots of good advice, but they are not grouped and packaged as a guidebook. it is a forum - not a wiki! as a starting point, it is better to read up on some guidebook, learn the basic and then leverage this forum. trust me, at that point, a lot of advice would make a lot more sense. also, it helps you to ask better questions and get help accordingly.

2 websites that really helped me to get an overview on what I needed to concentrate on were the following 2 sites:
https://www.gotchseo.com/blog/
https://diggitymarketing.com/ (get his on-site seo guide)

understand the basics and then BHW will become a goldmine for you.
